Loratadine is a medicine that reduces the effects of a naturally occuring chemical called histamine in the body.

When triggered, Histamine can produce symptoms such as sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose.

These symptoms may arise from hay fever, pet allergy, dust allergy, skin allergy and other forms of allergy.

Loratadine is also used to treat skin hives and itching in people with chronic skin reactions.
